The 2016 Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo held October 26-27 at the Crowne Plaza DIA saw an increase in attendance and added drones and virtual reality to the display of the latest in A/V equipment.
In addition to the exhibit hall full of cutting edge equipment, there were many learning sessions conducted by industry experts designed to help you reach your peak in the business. New this year was a panel and demonstration of drone technology, a virtual reality demonstration and a large format and projector display. Keynote talks were presented by Phil Garvin, Mobile TV Group, on “Taking Risks to Introduce New Technology”, and Nicholas Whitaker, Google Newslab, on “Entrepreneurial Journalism.” Dave Zur and colleagues from KSE Entertainment held a panel on Sports Video.
Wednesday evening from 6-8PM, show management, ExpoMasters, hosted the AVX After Hours party with food and beverages for all. Down home blues music was provided by David Booker during the evening.
Plans for AVX 2017 are already underway and will be held October 25-27, 2017 in combination with the Society of Broadcast Engineers National Meeting. Save the date for another great Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo.
